Can you ride with an English saddle but with a western bridle?

The only problem you will have is if the show judges and directors and those that make the rules, have a problem with it. most horses will work with just about anything once they have the basics down. my horses would not know the difference if someone slapped an English saddle on them and went riding with the western head gear. What ever works for you and the horse out there on the trail goes. No one cares what you are riding in.
