Why did god create/cause EVIL?

Because you have to balance good with evil. ALL GOOD is no good, and ALL BAD is worse. And mankind's imagination is boundless. Good and Evil are arbitrary concepts, and stems from the survival instinct. Anything that benefits us is good, anything that harms us is evil. Except Evel Knievel, he was good.
