Help , YZE this poem?

It is very straight forward. The poet speaks as an American soldier who returned from Vietnam. He is angry at what he had to do and where he had to go. His complaint is that he was forced to fight a war which the American government and the American people knew nothing of. These soldiers fought a war where they had no control and no understanding of the land. This was a war which was shown on the TV screens each evening. People were horrified by what they saw. Initially many took out their anger on the returned soldiers who were considered baby killers and worse. He now asks for them to see the soldiers as noble Americans who were poorly informed and poorly led. He asks for them to embrace them as sons.
