Removing sap from a car?

I had sap on my car for two days. After getting most of it off using soap, there is film still on it that is tarnishing the shine. How do I get this film residue off and in the process saw a lot of very light scratches on the hood. Is there a product I can use that will get most if not all of these scratches off?
