Scratchy throat singing problem?

I have recently gotten over a sickness where I lost my voice. It's coming back now but I have trouble singing. I am trying out for Dorothy in the wizard of Oz and I need to know some things I can do to help such as home remedies, warm ups that type of thing. PLEASE HELP ME!!
