Should I bother going back to using a film camera?

I already have a digital bridge camera, but it's all just too fussy. I love cheap looking, bad quality, dreamy pictures made by plastic, crappy cameras. Problem is, I have to pay for film and processing. I can probably raid the internet and a few charity shops for the cameras, is there much point going back to film cameras? I could always just get the photo's on my digital camera printed, but I know I'll probably never get round to it. Also, I am spending quite a lot of money on batteries for my digital camera at the moment anyway. I just like the idea of having a photo album, instead of just some pictures on a computer. What do you think? Waste of money or good idea?
